Overview
QuietScore is designed with privacy at its core. Your measurement data stays on your device. We don't collect personal information, and we don't sell data to anyone.
Data Storage
All measurement data — Sound Isolation Scores, room names, frequency analysis, and measurement history — is stored locally on your iPhone. Nothing is uploaded to our servers or any cloud service. If you delete the app, your data is permanently removed from the device.
Analytics
We use TelemetryDeck for privacy-friendly analytics. TelemetryDeck collects no personal data — no names, emails, IP addresses, or device identifiers. We see aggregate usage patterns (e.g., which features are most used) to help improve the app, but we cannot identify individual users.
Microphone Access
QuietScore requires microphone access to measure sound levels during testing. Audio is processed in real-time on your device and is never recorded, stored, or transmitted. The app does not listen for or recognize speech, music, or other content.
Motion Sensors
The app uses your device's accelerometer during measurement to detect if the phone moves (which could affect accuracy). Motion data is processed in real-time and is not stored or transmitted.
Bluetooth
QuietScore connects to your Bluetooth speaker to play test tones. The app uses standard A2DP audio streaming. No data about your Bluetooth devices is collected or transmitted.
In-App Purchases
Subscriptions are handled entirely through Apple's App Store and StoreKit. We do not have access to your payment information, Apple ID, or App Store account details.
PDF Reports
PDF reports are generated locally on your device. When you share a report (via email, AirDrop, or other methods), it goes directly from your device to the recipient — it does not pass through our servers.
Third-Party Services
The only third-party service integrated into QuietScore is TelemetryDeck for anonymous analytics. We do not use advertising SDKs, tracking pixels, or any other third-party data collection tools.
Children's Privacy
QuietScore does not knowingly collect any personal information from children or anyone else. The app is a utility tool that stores data locally.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy as the app evolves. Significant changes will be noted in the app's release notes. The "last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
